BASIC LIFE SUPPORT

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Intended for healthcare providers who must have a certification such as nurses, nurse assistants, physicians, physician assistants, advance practice nurses, EMS personnel, respiratory therapists, dentists and healthcare  students.  

This Course focuses on what rescuers need to know to perform high-quality CPR  in a variety of settings, use of the automated external defibrillators, airway management  and  management of choking emergencies for the adult and pediatric victims.

ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The ACLS course is designed for healthcare  providers such as nurses, physicians , physician assistants, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, respiratory therapist and other professionals who may respond to cardiovascular emergencies. In order to take this class, the student must have a current BLS certification. Additionally, the student must have a basic understanding of cardiac arrhythmias, code blue pharmacology and airway management.

PEDIATRIC ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT

COURSE DESCRIPTION

PALS is intended for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the management of cardiovascular and respiratory emergencies of the pediatric patient. This course emphasizes the importance of a systematic approach for the diagnosis and treatment of several pediatric emergencies such as multiple types of shock, arrhythmias and airway management.   In order to take this class, the student must have a current BLS certification. Additionally, the student must have a basic understanding of cardiac arrhythmias, code blue pharmacology and airway management.
